REVIEW : Mayhem in Single Valley: Confessions (PC)

Mayhem in Single Valley is an action-adventure full of exciting things and radioactive squirrels. You are a teen who’s just begun the Apocalypse in his hometown. Now everybody dislikes you. Mix breast feeding with your housework and zombie attack with your family feast. Welcome to Single Valley!

REVIEW : Mayhem in Single Valley: Confessions (PC)

Living in a small town is hard. Particularly when you have family difficulties, crazed animals ate your neighbors and everybody blames you for the apocalypse. This is how the day begins for Jack, not so fortunate guy.

A Weird World with Unexpected Events: Single Valley is a site where you never know what’s next. Rafting on the infected river and Elementary School of Ghosts. Physical obstacles and car pursuits. Self-cloning, dad’s criticism, and vice-versa. You will be amazed.

REVIEW : Mayhem in Single Valley: Confessions (PC)

The Strangest Story: Jack has to trade not only with the Apocalypse but also with his inner world. The 4th wall shattering discoveries, family problems, and dubious discrepancies in your past. What are you covering, Mister Jack?

Lots of Creatures, Enemies, and Bad Things: Enemies have preferences, behaviour, and character. Don’t kill: improvise! If super-radiated bunnies still love carrots, possibly the toxic bear will find something tastier than you? We have a full dangerous Zoo here!

GAMEPLAY

Seems a little interesting, but the controls feel a bit jank. For the most part, the game is responsive, though it was a bit odd to find RT being mapped to the jump button. However, it felt like pressing a on stuff didn’t always get a quick response, especially when opening things. Another little control nitpicks were stuff like throwing didn’t feel right since the time between max and low charge were about a second apiece and again oddly mapped since it was the right analogue. While all of these were kinda weird, it wasn’t anything I couldn’t put up with. However, what 9++annoyed me was the item swapping. You can seem to swap items you pick up, but your utility items I’m not sure you can swap as easily? Or maybe I just missed something. I don’t know.

review-mayhem-in-single-valley-confessions-pcKinda got tired of the game shortly after getting to an area where you have to wait on the wind to do various jumps with it cycling through the directions one at a time. Just minor nitpicks all around, but something just felt off bout playing it to me.
