You can now download and play a free Steam demo for Severed Steel – a stylish single-player FPS featuring a fluid stunt system and loads of bullet time that’s launching later this year on PC and consoles.
The demo is available as part of the Digital Dragons ‘Indie Celebration’ showcase, and is only available for a limited time. So be sure to try to the demo before it disappears!
The demo includes six arcade mode levels and the following four unlockable ‘Mutators’ (aka gameplay modifiers): Paintball, Double Jump, Big Heads, and Exploding Enemies. There are also a few weapons to sample, including the Ayakashi instagib rifle, and masonry melting Arm Cannon. For some playing pointers, there’s a video at the top of the Severed Steel Steam page showing the game’s developer, Matt Larrabee, sliding, diving, and homiciding his way through the demo. It’s a masterclass in stunt-killing.
Severed Steel is one of 60 games selected for the Digital Dragons showcase, and every game has got a demo. You can find them all on the Indie Celebration event page.
