The latest VR and AR hardware, including dozens of headsets, simulators, haptic vests and many other gadgets, available for all visitors.

A reference location for development studios and brands to connect with their communities.

XR Spot is first on its kind: It’s the first location dedicated to Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality (that is to say, Extended Reality) to open in Spain. In a few weeks it will open its doors in Móstoles, South of Madrid, to receive its first visitors. Until then, they have their crowdfunding campaign active now on Kickstarter.

What visitors can expect from XR Spot

Cutting-edge hardware, including exclusive products thanks to agreements with brands, together with the latest software releases, will be available to the public. They will learn more in depth about all the possibilities that VR and AR can offer to improve their gaming experiences and entertainment in general.

It also aims to becoke the physical meeting point during all year between development studios and brands with their communities. What better place to test or to present a project than at a location that has been conceived for this purpose, and that is completely equipped with computers and screns, tables, chairs and other furniture, and with the VR and AR technologies at their disposal.

The evolution of VR and AR technology

The use of extended reality keeps on growing and establishing at homes and at leisure places. Because of that, every day there are more developers who decide to create content for this technology, or companies that decide to implement it in their work routine.

Spain is positioning itself among the first countries in creating content for Virtual Reality, with companies like Virtual Voyagers or Visyon at the top, and with game developers like Tequila Works and their successful games The Invisible Hours or Groundhog Day Like Father Like Son, Odders Lab with Oshape, Vertical Robot with Red Matter or Sergio Hidalgo with Dreadhalls and Cosmodread, among many others.

XR Spot will be a key actor in the consolidation of the VR and AR Spanish industry, and a meeting point with the international market.

It’s also important to keep in mind that when we talk about virtual reality or augmented reality we are not talking only about entertainment, but also about its implications in healthcare for the rehabilitation of patients, or in the treatment of psychological disorders. At XR Spot we want to be a reference and a facilitator in extending these uses to improve the lives of people.

Jugon Virtual, the mastermind behind the project
Behind the project of XR Spot is Carlos Bolívar, more known as Jugon Virtual, the biggest content creator of technology in the Spanish-speaking community. His wish to bring VR and AR closer to more people has finally become to life.

Besides accumulating almost 200 million views in his content about Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality, he has also given lectures at universities, has worked as an advisor and consultant and has organized competitions, giveaways, activations and all kinds of events and activities for communities with a massive reach, collaborating with companies and brands such as Telefónica, Google, YouTube, Madrid Games Week – AEVI and IFEMA, all of it together with his partner Caty.
