Mobile Gaming News: War Wings Season 2 Results and New Game Update

War Wings, the hit mobile World War II aerial dogfighting game, has concluded the second season of its Ace Pilots League. Pilots in the hard fought competition, which ran from March 20 to April 20, battled to earn in-game Silver currency and receive special edition aircraft rewards.

The fierce battles for aerial supremacy drew over 64,600 participants with the average pilot logging eight combat missions per day. Season 2’s most popular warplane was the Spitfire Grey Nurse, which displays the distinctive shark’s mouth livery of Royal Australian Air Force squadron No. 457.

New Update Readies for Take Off
The next War Wings game update is scheduled to release in May. The update adds a new feature that will allow players to create squadrons and to manage positions within those squadrons. The Squadron feature allows friends to engage in battles as a team, or alternatively, allows players to meet, befriend, and form squadrons with other pilots who might share the same language, country of origin, or aircraft interests.

The forthcoming Ace Pilots League Season 3 will enable team battles, allowing two players to form a team to participate in League dogfights. Tier 7 warplanes will also be able to compete in Season 3 League matches.
