If you’re sitting in front of your computer or console for hours on end, it’s important to be comfortable while maintaining healthy habits so you can feel your best. With that in mind, let’s cover three essential tips you can use to build the ultimate gaming setup.

1. Find the Right Space

Right now, you might have your gaming computer in your bedroom, or a console in the living room where everyone else gathers to watch television. While there’s nothing wrong with these locations, they’re not ideal for a full gaming setup.

If you really want to make the most of your gaming gear, dedicate a specific room or small space to your setup. It might still be in your bedroom, but it needs to be more than just your computer on a desk.

Other viable options for setup spaces include an office space, or even a basement. It all depends on the kind of gear you plan on using, and how much space you’ll need to be comfortable.

When you choose a dedicated space for your gaming area, you can also decorate it to fit your needs and wants. Hang up posters depicting your favorite games, or invest in some unique lighting. When you can transform a space into the ultimate game room, you’re more likely to enjoy your experience without bothering anyone else at home.

2. Design for Function and Comfort

Once you have the right location in mind, consider some of your gaming habits and how they might impact what you need for your setup.
