Autumn’s just getting started and so are we! Raw Fury is thrilled to partner with a handful of developers to bring not one, not two, but seven demos to this October’s Steam Next Fest. The event, beginning today at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT, will roll out several demos that have previously only been available to play at events like Gamescom, PAX West, and Tokyo Game Show.
Below you’ll find an estimated duration of each demo (ranging from just a few to 45 minutes), a description of what players can expect, and links to a recent video and press kit for each title.
Cassette Beasts
Estimated Demo Duration: 20-30 minutes
Collect awesome monsters to transform into during turn-based battles in the open-world RPG Cassette Beasts. The demo takes you to New Wirral for the very first time, introducing a set of beautifully crafted monsters to combine into new ones with a taste of the game’s ‘80s-inspired vibe and synthy soundtrack.
Flat Eye
Estimated Demo Duration: 15 Minutes
Flat Eye, launching for Steam on October 17, is a balanced blend of management simulation and narrative-driven gameplay, as players look after the world’s premier gas and technological hub. This demo introduces the game’s foundational systems, including receiving and completing primary directives, managing your futuristic station and its modules, and interacting with premium customers.
Friends vs Friends
Estimated Demo Duration: 3-5 minutes per game
Friends vs Friends is an online PvP shooter that combines combat and deck building. The demo will run only for the duration of Steam Next Fest, allowing players a limited opportunity to take to the rooftop as one of five playable characters in chaotic 1v1 or 2v2 online combat.
GUN JAM
Estimated Demo Duration: 15-20 minutes
GUN JAM is a fast-paced rhythm FPS where you must shoot to the beat to survive. The new demo, playable only during Next Fest, features two game levels and original music tracks: as Trap, battle your way through the Gun Jam Arena to the trap-hop song “Nitro”; then power through the Sonic Prison as Aero, backed by the EDM track “Don’t Look Down.”
SKALD: Against the Black Priory
Estimated Demo Duration: 15-20 minutes
SKALD: Against the Black Priory is a retro-style party-based RPG set in a grim-dark fantasy world of tragic heroes, violent deaths and Lovecraftian horror. Choice matters as you explore an engaging branching story mixed with crunchy tactical, turn-based combat and character customization.
Superfuse
Estimated Demo Duration: 15-20 minutes
Superfuse is a hack-and-slash action RPG with the ability to hyper-tailor your power set based on your playstyle. The game’s new demo allows players to come out swinging as the familiar heavy-hitting Berserker class, or wield the wild powers of the recently revealed Elementalist.
Tails: The Backbone Preludes
Estimated Demo Duration: 25-40 minutes
Tails: The Backbone Preludes is a post-noir narrative adventure with branching choices set in the rich world of Backbone. The demo features the entire first act of Tails, with scenes from each of the four characters’ stories and their diverging narratives. Explore themes of growth and change, power, friendships and relationships, morality and ethics, and more.
