Lukla Airport is known for its challenging flying conditions

The Mount Everest region is home to some of the most scenic airports in the world – and with Mt. Everest Airports Vol. 1 – Lukla, Aerosoft and 20-year veteran studio LimeSim are releasing a new scenery for Microsoft Flight Simulator, focused on what is also one of the most challenging ones. Tenzing-Hillary Airport, aka the “Gateway to Mount Everest”,  is known among pilots for its combination of steep runway, turbulent weather conditions and mountainous surroundings, making go-arounds and approaches especially difficult. The airport and surrounding village have been painstakingly recreated, featuring several animated objects, custom sounds and realistic night lighting.

The add-on is available now for 9.95 EUR via Aerosoft’s online shop and will also be available through Microsoft Marketplace and third-party shops soon.
