Aeterna Noctis presents weapons and a brand new area

Aeterna Noctis, the long-awaited 2D Metroidvania developed by Aeternum Game Studios, was officially presented at the 54th Sitges Film Festival, becoming the first Spanish video game exhibited at the prestigious film festival.

During the film festival, the dev studio shared a teaser featuring new unreleased material, including part of the King of Darkness weaponry that he will use to face the many enemies and challenging bosses that populate the world of Aeterna.

Here we can find a link to the weapons and upgrades teaser that the studio has uploaded to its official channel

In addition to presenting the spectacular weapons of his dark majesty, the teaser also features the customization options for the character’s weapons and skills, so the player can try multiple combinations to “create a unique game experience.”

Another important detail is the new area that could be seen towards the end of the teaser. The little that is known so far is this: It is a level full of floating islands where King of Darkness, armed with a katana, faces a mighty dragon.

One most demanded requests from the community becomes a reality. A few weeks ago it was confirmed that the physical release of this Metroidvania will be developed by SelectaPlay and Aeternum Game Studio, promising its launch throughout Europe for the spring of 2022.

The story in Aeterna Noctis tells the fight between the King of Darkness and the Queen of Light, two immortal beings cursed to fight for all eternity. The game unfolds across 16 different areas that offer a challenging but fair experience for the player

Aeterna Noctis is a multiplatform game that can be played on PC, Xbox, PlayStation and Nintendo Switch, and will be released on December 15 of 2021. The price will be € 29.99 / $ 29.99
