Lockwood Publishing is excited to announce that the headliner of its 2022 Solar Sounds Festival has won a Lovie Award. The headliner, digital pop superstar Polar, performed at the festival in Lockwood’s Avakin Life, a 3D life simulation metaverse.
Polar performed her hit songs to an excited crowd, bringing in more than 2.2million visits. The star, whose career took off in 2021 when she performed her debut single Close To You in a concert in Avakin Life, has now amassed 1.6million followers on TikTok and her new EP SOLD OUT was released earlier this year.
For the experience at the Solar Sounds Festival, the award-winning digital studio TheSoul Publishing won the Lovie in the Entertainment, Gaming & Sport category in ‘Metaverse Individual’. The Lovie Awards recognise and reward innovation being made across the European Internet, and this year the Lovies introduced new honours for exciting emerging technology including web3, NFTs, the metaverse and more. Winners in these new categories are setting the benchmark for excellence in this space, and there were some incredible finalists.
