EggNut and Raw Fury’s critically acclaimed role-playing adventure is now available on Xbox and PlayStation

Developer EggNut and publisher Raw Fury have today released the post-noir role-playing detective adventure game Backbone for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Xbox Game Pass, as well as PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4.

Backbone puts players in the shoes of raccoon private investigator Howard Lotor as he is pulled into a case unlike any he’s experienced before. Set in a dystopian Vancouver, British Columbia, Backbone boasts beautifully rendered high-resolution pixel art.

In addition to its console debut, Backbone has received a huge international localization across all formats, including Japanese, French, German, Russian, Chinese, Brazilian Portuguese, Polish, and Spanish. This update includes incorporating a language-switching function in-game, allowing players to assign a dedicated switching key-bind. They can now select two languages in the settings menu and instantly switch back and forth between them. This distinctive feature was derived from developer EggNut’s collective experience of learning other languages through TV shows, films, and video games.

And with Halloween almost upon us, PC players can grab Backbone for 25% off starting today until November 1 on Steam and November 3 on GOG.com! A variety of performance and stability improvements have also been rolled out for the PC version of Backbone.
