Highly anticipated cozy colony sim Havendock is coming to Steam Early Access on April 20th. What started as an impromptu browser game has escalated quickly.
Yeo Ying Zhi, also known as YYZ, has been working on the game single-handedly, but with huge support from the Havendock community. Gathered on the official Havendock Discord, the players inspire YYZ in all sorts of weird directions.
“I wish I could procrastinate everything but I don’t want to disappoint the people out there waiting for Havendock. It’s a great motivation though, now I actually need to set an alarm to go to sleep.”—YYZ laughs, relating his development process.
The demo has already attracted over 100,000 players, along with some popular streamers who’ve since fallen in love with the game, with Havendock now being the #5 fastest-growing upcoming Early Access game on Steam. YYZ, as well as the indie publisher of Havendock, Different Tales, hope that with support from fans they will be able to further expand and improve the contents of the game.
