Chasm Physical Pre-orders Are Now Open

It’s been a long time coming, but we’re excited to announce that physical pre-orders are now open for Chasm on Nintendo Switch and PS4! We’ve been working with the highly esteemed Limited Run Games on it, and we’re very impressed with the packages they’ve put together. As per usual, Limited Run will only print a limited amount of copies, so it won’t be easily attainable after the pre-order period ends. Pre-orders will be open for the next 4 weeks (closing Nov. 8) with no limit, so be sure to grab yours before it’s too late! While the standard edition comes with the game and an instruction booklet, the real star of the show is the Classic Edition. It’s jam packed with awesome extras like a plushie of the bird familiar, 4 CD soundtrack, art book, double sided poster, stickers and more! Chasm Vinyl Soundtrack Pre-order In addition to the physical releases of the game, we also have a limited edition vinyl release of the soundtrack now available for pre-order from Limited Run! It’s a 2 LP set, with the first disc containing the original soundtrack and the second disc containing the chiptune version. This release is exclusive to Limited Run, so if you’ve ever wanted the OST on vinyl now is your chance!
Chasm 1.077 Available on PC Lastly, update 1.077 is now available on Steam, GOG and Humble! This patch contains a few requested tweaks, as well as a large overhaul to the graphics backend for PCs. OpenGL has been replaced on Windows and OS X with their own native systems, D3D11 and Metal respectively. Linux is still on OpenGL for now, but will eventually move on to Vulkan. This change should greatly increase system compatibility. And don’t worry! The Limited Run physical editions will be shipping with this latest version. It will also make its way to digital console releases eventually, but we don’t have an ETA just yet. increased item drop rates tweaked boss health levels forced Fire Crawler to always appear to fix rare Bestiary issue (new games only) fixed jumping into slopes at high speeds causing ledge grab glitch fixed player speed in ending cutscene to ignore any modifications/items fixed glitchy thumbstick behavior in menus updated game controller database updated to FNA 20.10. OpenGL has been replaced on Windows with native D3D11 and on OSX with native Metal. System compatibility should increase from this, but there may be minor problems found like graphical glitches.
