“Clout of the Stars”, the Christmas update for Summum Aeterna is now available
Aeternum Game Studios confirmed a week ago that Summum Aeterna will be available at the end of 2023 in its final version on all platforms. Until then, the game will continue to receive new content as reflected in its roadmap for next year. “The Influence of the Stars” is the Christmas update for the Roguelite developed by the creators of Aeterna Noctis, and it comes full of new mechanics and customization options. The name comes from the seed influences, a new mod that adds special conditions to each new world generated, being the first of the available influences the “Dominion of Chaos”, and will cause those seeds subjected to this influence to include rooms flooded with Chaos, and guarded by new enemies born from the pure essence of the Supreme God. These enemies also include a sort of mini-boss known as the “Hand of Chaos”. According to the words of the study, this is “a being sent by the Supreme God himself to exterminate any form of life that inhabits the dimensions subject to his influence.” Undoubtedly, the encounter with this new enemy will be a challenge worthy of the most skilled players.
The seed influences are provided by a new NPC in the lobby, “Zero, the Wandering God” who will allow us to enhance the influences and will give us interesting details about the lore of the game. These influences multiply the customization options, making each new sprout a completely different adventure than the last.
Regarding the playable core of Summum Aeterna, a new status ailment known as “void” has been added, however, the big news in terms of combat is the possibility of ascending another 6 weapons to summum level, allowing you to unleash your maximum destructive power. Other inclusions are the ability to unlock trophies, a new type of currency, new genes, numerous new artifacts, as well as several improvements to the interface and game progress.
