Fulqrum Publishing announce Stygian: Outer Gods and Decadent, alongside deluge of updates and announcements from other independent developers and publishers
Fulqrum Publishing kicked off the second annual Lovecraftian Days on Steam; an event that grew significantly from last year’s instalment into a full-blown festival featuring a streaming showcase full of terrifying announcements for fans of H.P. Lovecraft and cosmic horror, from hordes of independent developers and publishers. Lovecraftian Days will be available on Steam until April 8th, offering deep discounts, news and free demos of a varied selection of titles that explore the genre’s chilling depths in unique and petrifying ways.
Stygian: Outer Gods is an upcoming survival horror game with RPG elements from Fulqrum Publishing and Misterial Games, in which players will unravel a millenia-old mystery on a strange island haunted by nightmares, and challenge the titular Outer Gods themselves. Set in a universe established by Stygian: Reign of the Old Ones, its story precedes the events of the Black Day, providing a fresh perspective on certain characters and events from the 2019 classic.
Decadent, a brand new story-driven first person shooter from Fulqrum Publishing and Incantation Games, sees players step into the shoes of an arctic explorer and World War 1 veteran turned decadent occultist embarking on a terrifying journey into the unknown. With atmospheric exploration, horror, and visceral combat, players will test the limits of their sanity as they face ever-shifting horrors on the search for their estranged son.
Forgive Me Father 2, the sequel to fast-paced, old-school first-person shooter Forgive Me Father from Fulqrum Publishing and Byte Barrel receives its first content update – bringing new levels, enemies, weapons and even more madness! The update also introduces a new secret that players will have to jump in to uncover.
Independent Polish game developer Bit Golem prove that Lovecraftian influence can transcend the horror genre, with their new title Pool of Madness – a Lovecraftian pool game featuring roguelite elements. Players will encounter madness-inducing levels as they perform eldritch rituals and try to uncover the mystery of the missing ship crew.
The Foretold: Westmark Legacy is a gothic horror adventure deck-builder from Nodbrim Interactive and Crytivo, that places players into the shoes of a paranormal investigator. As players attempt to solve this cosmic horror mystery they will equip items and relics, and acquire cards to combat the creatures that lurk in the darkest corners of this forgotten town, and can do so from April 30th.
70′ Strike and Valkyrie Initiative bring Lovecraft into the world of the Metroidvania with upcoming 2D platformer, Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona, coming to PC on May 7th . Following an ancient undead, risen from the grave with no way of communicating but a clear sense of purpose, players will explore a huge variety of hand-crafted levels from fog-shrouded ruins to the Sun-city where an unspeakable evil lingers.
Cosmic horror and folklore combine in Harvest Hunt, a chilling roguelike survival horror from Villainous Games Studios and Neonhive Games coming to PC on May 22nd. Players will immerse themselves in European folklore, taking on the role of the Warden, a sole guardian of the village of Luna Nova against the terrors of a malevolent curse. Set against haunting hand-drawn environments, Harvest Hunt draws players into the shadow-draped realms in an agonising fight for survival.
Raw Fury and High North Studios announce the release date for retro-style party-based RPG SKALD: Against the Black Priory, coming to PC on May 30th.
