DALLAS FUEL SIGNS FEARLESS

Hitscan star returns to Overwatch League competition alongside fan-favorite roster

The Dallas Fuel have announced the signing of Do-Hyeon “Pine” Kim to the team’s star-studded lineup. The 23-year-old will move from his home in Korea to join the team in Dallas immediately upon Visa approval.

An esports veteran with competitive history dating back to Team Fortress 2, Pine competed with the New York Excelsior in the first and second seasons of the Overwatch League, where he earned recognition for his world-class gameplay on hitscan heroes like McCree and Widowmaker. He retired following the second season and pivoted to a role as a streamer throughout the 2020 season.

Pine’s return to the league comes as the Fuel celebrate their championship victory in the May Melee tournament – the first tournament win in franchise history, and a major step towards the team’s vision for Overwatch League domination in the 2021 season.

“We’re looking forward to bringing Pine on board as soon as possible,” said Mat Taylor, General Manager of the Dallas Fuel. “While he won’t be able to compete with us right away, he’s an extremely talented player and we know he can meet the high expectations we’ve set for the team this season.”

The Dallas Fuel welcome Pine to the team following the departure of Ki-hyo “Xzi” Jung for medical reasons. Per league regulations, he will begin competing with the team once he arrives in Dallas to join his teammates.
