Descent of Dragons LivestreamHearthstone Designer Dean Ayala and Hearthstone streamer Kripparian took to the skies to reveal more cards flying into Descent of Dragons—the upcoming Hearthstone expansion—out next week on December 10! The new cards showed off during the stream included one of five Galakrond cards, along with a card with the new Invoke keyword.
Coming Soon: New Solo AdventureThe final battle in the Year of the Dragon’s story is Galakrond’s Awakening, the solo adventure coming this January! Collect 35 new cards and get ready to battle E.V.I.L. … or Good! More details on Galakrond’s Awakening will be coming soon.
BattlegroundsWe’re introducing a few new heroes and minions to Battlegrounds, along with some balance changes!New Heroes – Edwin Vancleef, Sylvanas Windrunner, and the greatest self-proclaimed villain himself, Arch-Villain Rafaam are ready for mayhem. These new heroes, and their unique hero powers, are now playable!New Minions – King Bagurgle and Floating Watcher have entered the Battlegrounds!Balance Changes – Lightfang Enforcer (minion) is receiving a balance update. The following heroes are also receiving a balance update: Millicent Manastorm, Patchwerk, A.F. Kay, The Rat King, Professor Putricide, Lich Baz’hial, and The Great Akazamzarak.Advanced Stats – Advanced Stats are now live for players who own 10 or more Descent of Dragons Card Packs, and is accessible by clicking “More” in the Battlegrounds lobby.
Tyrande and Sylvanas Heroes Now AvailableHearthstone’s in-game shop is being redesigned to improve navigation and accessibility. In the new shop going live on December 10, you’ll also find that the Sylvanas Windrunner Hero and Card Back will be available for a limited time in the shop for $9.99, as well as the fan-favorite Tyrande Whisperwind Priest Hero and Card Back – which can be claimed for free in the new in-game shop!
Update – Echo MechanicCopies of cards with the Echo keyword can no longer cost less than (1). Arcane Dust refunds will be available for the following cards until December 19:
- SN1P-SN4P (Normal Only)
- Glinda Crowskin (Normal and Golden)
- Sound the Bells (Normal and Golden)
