El Paso, Elsewhere Debuts New Accolades Trailer at DreadXP’s Indie Horror Showcase

Indie game development studio Strange Scaffold has today debuted the accolades trailer for their newest release, the supernatural neo-noir third-person shooter El Paso, Elsewhere. After launching to rave reviews last month, the game continues to garner critical acclaim. Taking notes from one of the most iconic third-person shooters in gaming, Max Payne, El Paso, Elsewhere applies modern technology and gameplay sensibilities to a stylized retro foundation. The game features a complex narrative exploring loss, grief, relationship abuse, and addiction. Woven into the game’s dark aesthetics is a completely original hip-hop horror soundtrack featuring vocals from studio founder Xalavier Nelson Jr. himself.

The trailer debuted during DreadXP’s Indie Horror Showcase earlier today. It showcases intense moments from the game alongside ass-kicking action, demonic destruction, and more. In addition to this latest trailer, Strange Scaffold also recently announced the vinyl soundtrack, El Paso, Elsewhere: The Album by LAKE SAVAGE and RJ LAKE, that’s available for pre-order now.

If you’re working on any “Best of 2023” roundup features over the coming months, we’d love for you to consider El Paso, Elsewhere, including for categories like:

  • Best Action Game
  • Best Indie Game
  • Best Third-Person Shooter
  • Best Soundtrack

El Paso, Elsewhere is out now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and itch.io for $19.99. Let me know if you have any questions! Happy to assist with any coverage you have planned.
