Exciting details revealed at The Indie Houses’ 2021 digital event, from Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between to Suzerain and more

Australian indie label Fellow Traveller have revealed their latest and most exciting updates during The Indie Houses Direct showcase. Announcements included upcoming console releases, new trailers, highlights, demos, and an introduction to a brand new title: Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between.

Here’s a rundown of all the awesome bits announced by Fellow Traveller:
Introducing Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between
Project Pythia was unveiled as the beautifully reimagined reboot of Silverstring Media’s 2014 cult classic, Glitchhikers. Glitchhikers: The Spaces Between made its worldwide debut today as a reveal trailer provided viewers with a first-ever glimpse into the surreal, cosmic landscapes that combine familiarity with the strange and existential.
Silverstring’s first solo title will be released on PC and Mac in early 2022. You can find more on the website here.
Fellow Traveller revealed as publisher for Beacon Pines
In a gameplay reveal showing off new areas and footage for Beacon Pines, it was announced that Fellow Traveller will be supporting their foray onto the Steam platform as the game’s official publisher.
Beacon Pines is a storybook adventure game where players take charge as both the reader and its main character, Luka. Through exploring a cute and creepy story, events will unfold in unpredictable and mysterious ways as players use word charms to change the story and choose which paths to take.
School begins on September 10 with
Kraken Academy!!
One week out from the launch of the anime-inspired adventure, Kraken Academy!! developer Happy Broccoli games shared a trailer teasing the upcoming comedy game that tasks players with navigating the perils of high school (all while preventing world doom).
 
No Longer Home will debut on Xbox and Switch
Revealed by a new trailer, developer Humble Grove and publisher Fellow Traveller announced the “slice-of-life” narrative game, No Longer Home, will be arriving on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on October 7.
Originally released on PC and Mac on July 30, the contemporary story inspired by the lives of the developers earned critical praise for how it interlaces the realities of everyday suburban life with magic realism.
…and Suzerain is coming to Switch!
Torpor Games’ award-winning political sim, Suzerain, will also be making its way to Nintendo Switch on September 23. The challenging societal dilemma game was released on PC in December 2020, earning the Games For Change People’s Choice Award, and Honourable Mentions from the Unfold Games Awards and A MAZE Berlin.
The Indie Houses Direct united a collection of seven passionate indie publishing houses from around the world. Providing the opportunity to spotlight development updates and upcoming games, the event exhibited an international support of the indie games scene and celebrated the power of video games in sharing impactful stories.

The studios that have made The Indie Houses their home alongside Fellow Traveller are Akupara Games, Neon Doctrine, Raw Fury, Those Awesome Guys, Toge Productions, and Whitethorn Games. The Indie Houses digital event will continue until September 7 through a Steam festival offering exclusive discounts and additional content on spotlight games, developer Q&A livestreams and trailers presented during the showcase.
