Gameplay of Eden Genesis and Aeterna Lucis revealed at the Aeternum Game Studios showcase

On the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of Aeterna Noctis, the developer studio has just issued a showcase featuring interesting details about their future projects. In addition to sharing exclusive images of Eden Genesis and Aeterna Lucis, they also confirm that the new Summum Aeterna DLC is now available for free.

The creators of the Aeterna Universe do not rest in their efforts to continue nurturing their titles. Players can now download for free “The Witcher Awakening”, the DLC Summum Aeterna. As displayed in the showcase, this content pack incorporates a new weapon type, the ornaments, including 10 different variants. These new tools of destruction take a completely different approach to combat, serving as ranged weapons and allowing you to execute a multitude of attacks and altered states.   The seed history is another of the DLC’s additions. In the words of the developers, this mechanic allows players to keep precise control of all the germinated seeds, including time statistics, weapons used, genetic information and other details to keep track of what challenges and combinations are still pending. Without a doubt, an essential new feature for this frenetic Roguelite.
However, Eden Genesis has been the first big revelation during the showcase. Until now, we only things we knew about this title were its cover, and that it was an adventure set in a cyberpunk world, but after having seen the trailer it is confirmed that it is a platform game with a massive game speed. A title that seems inspired by the acclaimed Dustforce but with a rhythm close to the Sonic the Hedgehog style. A mix that denotes great playability, which seems to delight lovers of titles of this style.

The trailer has also hinted that the title will have a strong narrative component. At least that is what can be deduced after listening to the amazing voice of Nikki García, who plays Leah, the protagonist of this story. The initial cinematic inspired in Ghost in the Shell shows a glimpse of the story before diving into the gameplay. Eden Genesis can now be added to your wishlists on Steam and the PlayStation Store, with a launch window scheduled for early 2024.
As a culmination, a teaser for Aeterna Lucis, the highly anticipated sequel to Aeterna Noctis, has been released. The cinematic revealed interesting details about the game’s art style, in addition to confirming one of the most widespread theories among the community, and that is that everything indicates we will take control of the Queen of Light, the eternal nemesis of his majesty the King of Darkness. The dev team hasn’t revealed more details except for some in-game screenshots and a brief description of the game mechanics. With an estimated release date at the end of 2024, you can now add Aeterna Lucis to your wishlists on Steam and the PlayStation Store.  Everything indicates that next year Aeternum Game Studios will once again leave us speechless with Eden Genesis and Aeterna Lucis. In the meantime, how about we play the free Summum Aeterna DLC and germinate some seeds?
