Lies of P Wins Mac Game of the Year in Apple’s 2023 App Store Awards
NEOWIZ, a global game developer and publisher, is proud to announce that its Souls-like action RPG title Lies of P has won Mac Game of the Year for Apple’s annual App Store Awards. The news comes shortly after Lies of P’s nominations for Best RPG, Best Art Direction, and most recently, in the Players’ Voice category at the 2023 The Game Awards. The title launched on Sept. 19 to praise from both critics and fans alike and has received “Overwhelmingly Positive” recent user reviews on Steam.
“We were excited to bring Lies of P to Macs with Apple Silicon earlier this year so more players could experience the hard work our teams put into the game,” said Head of the Round8 Studio, Jason Park. “Winning Mac Game of the Year is a great achievement and demonstrates our vision to create titles that can thrive on many different platforms.”
Lies of P is the Pinnocchio-inspired take on the action RPG and Souls-like genres from developer and publisher NEOWIZ. Prior to its release in September 2023, Lies of P won the “Best Action Adventure Game”, “Most Wanted Sony PlayStation”, and “Best Role Playing Game” at the Gamescom 2022 awards. The game has sold over 1 million units globally less than a month after launch.
Lies of P is set in the Belle Époque-inspired city of Krat, a once beautiful city that has become a living nightmare as deadly puppets run amok and a plague sweeps the land. Play as a puppet who must fight his way through the city on his unrelenting journey to find Geppetto and finally learn what it means to be human. Lies of P presents an elegant world filled with tension, deep combat and character customization systems, and a gripping story with interesting narrative choices where the more lies told, the more human the protagonist becomes. NEOWIZ launched Lies of P worldwide on Sept. 19, 2023. The standard and deluxe editions are available for a MSRP of $59.99 and $69.99 respectively, in digital or physical format on PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and participating retailers. The standard edition is also available via the Mac App Store for models with Apple silicon for $59.99.
