~ MYn App won many hearts as they raised money for Smile Foundation’s cause ‘Shiksha Na Ruke’

MYn App, a made-in-India for the world Super App announced the winners of India’s 1st Social Cause-related Creator Contest, Make India Smile, in association with Smile Foundation. With this contest, MYn, an app that is built to reimagine contemporary social media, commerce, and workplace landscape, promoted the message to incorporate positive alacrity in one’s lifestyle. In this one-of-a-kind, cheery and quirky contest, MYn was able to raise funds for ‘Shiksha Na Ruke‘, a Smile Foundation initiative, which supports education of underprivileged kids. It is a pan-India initiative which has so far educated more than 50,000 children in 22 Indian states. The contest was successful with a traction of nearly 2000 entries where the participants helped to spread smiles with their fun and eccentric posts.

MYn App chose ‘Create Feel-good Content’ as the theme for the contest to support the vision of positivity and happiness within the country. MYn users uploaded a video capturing their feel-good moments on the user feed of MYn App with the hashtag #MakeIndiaSmile. With a total of 9,000 plus user engagement, MYn App touched many lives through this contest. Ritu Sharma was crowned the first winner with a cash prize of ₹1 lakh and a trophy. In her simple yet meaningful video she was seen feeding biscuits to hungry stray dogs, an act that won many hearts. Five more participants received cash prize worth ₹ 10,000 each. All in all, a total cash prize of ₹1.50 lakhs was awarded to the winners.

To inspirit this movement, MYn had partnered with Smile Foundation, an Indian social development organisation that directly benefits over 15 lakh children and their families every year. For every valid entry, MYn App donated ₹250 to support Smile Foundation’s cause ‘Shiksha Na Ruke’ and raised funds to support the educational needs of the underprivileged kids associated with the foundation.  Make India Smile contest along with this association became the reason which brought smiles on many faces.

The COVID–19 crisis has taught the world to celebrate the little things in life and social media has been giving good reminder of that every day.  With this contest MYn wanted to give content creators a chance to create content that has the power to spread smile on everyone’s face. To support MYn’s vision, India’s top celebrities like Salim Merchant, Nikhil Chinapa, Nikhita Gandhi, Raj Pandit, Shor Police (Clinton Cerejo and Bianca Gomes), and Manish Bhatia also aligned with MYn to support the #MakeIndiaSmile Contest.

Speaking at the winner announcement, Mr. Abhisyant Anasapurapu, Head of Marketing, MYn, said, “Our aim was to foster goodwill amongst the people in these tough times. The best way to do that, we felt, was through content. If we could get people to simply create and post feel-good content, things could be different. Content is vested with the power to transform lives and make someone smile. Since we’ve believed in this from the very beginning, we are proud to say that this was how Make India Smile was born.”

Mr. Sanjeev Dham, COO, Smile Foundation, said, “A big thank you to all those who participated in the Make India Smile Contest. Overjoyed by the response and the kind of impact each participant has made. This initiative has only reinforced our faith in humanity. So, thank you. We are grateful to partner with MYn for this social cause-related campaign.”
