Paradox acquires Academia: School Simulator, Kicks Off first “Management Weekend” Steam Sale

Today, Paradox Interactive announced its acquisition of management hit Academia: School Simulator. Created by Philippine game development studio Squeaky Wheel, Academia: School Simulator is a charming simulation game that lets you design, construct, and manage a high school, adding another title to Paradox’s growing management portfolio.
To celebrate the occasion, Paradox has kicked off the first ever Management Weekend, a Steam Sale entirely dedicated to its management catalog. Check out the discounts below, as well as a trailer here!

Paradox also shared some cool stats about their management games, I’ve included them below.

  • 1.5 million users are playing Paradox’s management games every month.
  • Cities: Skylines just celebrated its 7th anniversary, with more than 37 million hours played (that makes roughly 100 thousand years!).
  • Surviving Mars welcomed more than 2 billion colonists – around 38% of Earth’s current population moved to Mars!
  • More than 40 million inmates managed to escape in Prison Architect.
  • Over 4 million colonies popped up in the wastelands of Surviving the Aftermath. The game has also received a free update that adds more ways to play and brings some of the most requested features and improvements.
