The first week of the Regular Season of the Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Singapore Season 7 kicked off last weekend! From nail-biting upsets to unexpected surprises, the opening matches delivered all the action, igniting the race for Playoffs qualification and the SGD 100,000 prize pool! 

RSG SG sees upset after defeat by newcomers; Team Flash and Bleed Esports stand strong 

On the opening weekend, RSG SG suffered a disappointing 2-1 match defeat against league newcomers Asteris. This defeat marks a rough Season 7 start for RSG SG following an overhaul of their starting lineup. The team is poised for a daunting Week 2 as they face off against Team Flash and Vanguard Esports this weekend. Asteris remains unbeaten from the MPL Singapore Season 7 Qualifiers, sitting at the top of the leaderboard alongside Bleed Esports and Team Flash. 

Bleed Esports has seen newfound success in the debut of their teammates, Seiji, Jayy, and yaawn, who have seamlessly integrated into the starting lineup. The newly appointed coach, Coach Karl “Giee” Barrientos, has also proven instrumental in leading the team’s triumph.

This season, MPL Singapore also introduced a fresh “Off the Desk” analysis segment, where our expert analysts provide viewers insights into the strategic aspects of the game. Week 2 Preview: epic showdown between old teammates 

Week 2 of MPL Singapore promises a thriller between Team Flash and RSG SG as they face off again, reigniting the rivalry since their last fateful encounter. In their previous clash, three-peat champions RSG SG narrowly fell short of victory against Team Flash in a dramatic showdown during the Season 6 Playoffs.

Adding fuel to the fire, Team Flash’s new captain, Yeo “Diablo” Wee Lun added: “I hope they [RSG] don’t let me down because I want to meet them in the Grand Finals. I want to show them the difference between having me as the captain versus not [having me there anymore]!”

Fans should also gear up for the Day 2 action, which promises to be no less exciting with the duel between Evil and Homebois SG! The latter needing to pick up points to match up with the prowess of their Malaysian counterparts.
