Action-Packed Twin-Stick Shooter Arrives September 26
Nicalis, Inc. officially announces that Monkey Barrels is coming to the Steam platform on September 26, 2022.
Developed by the legendary Good-Feel in Japan, Monkey Barrels is a super-colorful high-energy twin-stick shooter with a unique “3D Pixel Art” aesthetic. You play as either Masaru or Hanako, two maniac monkeys on a mission to rescue their friend Kotetsu from the evil inventor Dr. Echizen Crabbenwold. To save him, you must take to the streets of Japan and battle against hordes of weaponized household appliances and machines, using weapons made from random objects assembled by the crafty Mr. Shibayama.
Players can equip up to four weapons simultaneously, and you can also unleash an extra-powerful special attack when your “WILD POWER” meter is filled. A robust single-player story mode offers a giant bullet-heck boss battle at the end of every area, and there’s also a player-vs.-player online “Banana Scramble” mode for four to six participants.
Monkey Barrels will be available digitally on the Steam platform on September 26, 2022 for $14.99.
