Monsters and armoured mechs in London – Toge Productions at WASD!
| With WASD just around the corner (taking place in the Truman Brewery in London from April 25-27), I figured I’d take the time to highlight just a couple of the games we’ll be representing at this year’s event – And see if you want some hands-on time with them! Coffee Talk developer Toge Productions will have two playable games at this year’s WASD – the turn-based mecha tactics RPG Kriegsfront Tactics and the isometric co-op PvE multiplayer survival horror game, Whisper Mountain Outbreak. |
| Kriegsfront Tactics is set in an alternative 1970s Southeast Asia, featuring significantly more gigantic mechs than the actual (more boring) history. You’ll play as a commander of a mecha squad sent behind enemy lines. Manage your squad, resources, and mechs. Complete missions, and survive the front another day, while facing hard decisions that will test your morality. This mecha tactics title is a love letter to the military sim genre, combining elements from classic tactical strategy games and lowpoly retro-style visuals. Customise your mechs, build up your squad and execute tactical mecha operations – whatever it takes to survive in the jungles of Southeast Asia during an era of conflict in this alternate view of history. |
| Whisper Mountain Outbreak is inspired by Capcom’s 2003 classic Resident Evil Outbreak- which was one of the first survival horror games to feature cooperative gameplay. Having grown tired of waiting for Capcom to revive the game, Toge Productions took it upon themselves to develop their own co-op survival horror game The year is 1998, and a mining operation has inadvertently unleashed an ancient curse, trapping you and your friends on Mt. Bisik. Worse yet, a mysterious fog has appeared, bringing with it unsettling whispers and monster sightings. Fight, explore, solve puzzles, and figure out a way to escape… together! |
