The world of our retro inspired JRPG is finally playable again, after last year’s successful Kickstarter campaign. Our indie project is deeply rooted in classic inspirations of the genre, promising a memorable JRPG experience that will challenge both seasoned adventurers and newcomers alike.
Mortis Chronicles will remain playable throughout the scheduled Steam Next Fest starting on October 9th and will close to the public on October 16th. This window provides 11 days to explore the game’s short but detailed demo, learn more about the intricate mechanics, unravel the storyline, and hone some strategic combat skills before the release of the full game.

“When I started working on Tale of Cowardice in 2021, it was a small solo-dev project I embarked on to fiddle with the development engine, and whilst I imagined grandeur from day one, I never thought we’d get so close to a demo, so quickly!” Said Mark Lecarde, founder and lead developer at Radiance Digital. “Founding a studio and bringing together a talented and diverse little team has been a huge step forward, we’re working on the world of Mortis with even more immeasurable passion, and with this demo, we want to amaze people and show them that classical JRPGs still exist – they flourish and still can offer a lot to potential players!”
