Mythical MMORPG Runes of Magic Celebrates 15th Anniversary, Announces New Endgame Dungeon
It’s hard to believe, but the beloved mythical MMORPG Runes of Magic is 15 years old today! To celebrate this occasion, Gameforge is announcing a Timeless Dungeon, a revamped version of the popular Mystic Altar designed with the endgame in mind.
In April, players will be able to take on the challenges that the new dungeon has in store for them.
About the New Shadows Over the Altar Dungeon
The focus is clearly on the seven unique bosses that await in the revamped version of the Mystic Altar. Furthermore, the Runes of Magic team has adapted the structure of the dungeon so that even experienced players will have to try out new approaches. A specially positioned NPC next to the existing “Peak Hunt NPC” serves as a portal to these timeless instances.
New Valuable Equipment
The new dungeons are designed to appeal to returning players and offer exciting challenges as well as the opportunity to collect new equipment. The full accessory set can be used to further develop characters and prepare them for future challenges.
In the new Timeless Dungeons, players can expect a well-thought-out reward system that fits seamlessly into the existing equipment setup of Runes of Magic. Players have the opportunity to collect a completely new equipment set over several instances. The items are dropped directly in the instance but can also be acquired via Peak Fragments. Peak Fragments will be introduced via a new daily quest.
“After the huge success of the first iteration of Timeless Dungeons, we’ve been working hard to enhance the experience for the 15th anniversary of Runes of Magic,” explains Patrick Mathieu, Product Manager of Runes of Magic. “We’re confident that this new content will delight both longtime fans and returning players who now have an easier time getting to higher levels thanks to the changes we made in preparation.”
