With less than 50 days to the next Nordic Game, NG24 Spring on May 21-24 in Malmö, Sweden, it’s time for a speaker update with some of the brilliant industry profiles who have signed up to visit the 20th anniversary show and share their insights to the expected 2500+ registered attendees.

Pauliina Tornqvist, Meta

Pauliina Tornqvist is a video game producer and a game industry DE&I advocate. She has worked across the U.S. and Europe at some of the world’s largest game companies, shipping titles such as Call of Duty. Currently, she oversees 3rd Party Production of VR games at Meta.

Lau Korsgaard Foraging on Pandora: Designing the harvesting and crafting gameplay of Avatar: Frontiers

What does a Na’vi feel when gathering materials on Pandora? It is hard to say, but probably not the same as we are used to feel when exploiting game worlds for valuable resources. Massive’s lead game designer Lau Korsgaard shares his design process and an unexpected source of inspiration in the search for that feeling.

“THAT is a Level Design talk”: Using curiosity and iterations to craft the Hitman Trilogy

This talk by IOI’s Principal Game Designer Lasse Bruun Hansen focuses on how we improve approaches to Level Design implementation across the Hitman trilogy. Specific examples are used to highlight how curiosity for your game and consecutive iterations of features helped us offer new gameplay to players and allowed for more scalable productions in shorter time frames.
