OpTic Gaming Hosting June 17 Charity Stream on Twitch to Benefit Children’s Health

25+ creators and esports pros joining forces in daylong challenge to raise money for pediatric health partner

OpTic Gaming is calling on The GREENWALL to tune on Friday, June 17, for an all-things OpTic stream-a-thon that will raise donations to benefit Children’s Health and the Children’s Health Medical Center Foundation. Children’s Health is an official partner of the Dallas-based esports and entertainment organization.

Participating streamers, content creators and esports celebrities include OpTic Gaming President Hector “Hecz” Rodriguez, Call of Duty superstar Seth “Scump” Abner, online personalities Team Summertime, the top-ranked OpTic Texas Call of Duty League, and OpTic Halo teams, and more.

Viewers can tune in beginning at 2:00 p.m. CT and running to at least midnight at twitch.tv/opticgaming and on the streams of individual creators. Donation milestone incentives for viewers and potential giveaways include opportunities to snag exclusive OpTic Gaming hoodies and signed video game controllers, pie-an-OpTic-creator-in-the-face, and more. The Stream-a-thon will feature talent and activations including:

  • The OpTic Switch Olympics – professional OpTic Halo players, Warzone streamers, and OpTic members competing in a series of games on Nintendo Switch. Participating talent include aPG, BobbyPoff, Formal, Holly, Karma, Lunchbox, Maniac, Sebas, Trippy, and ZLaner.
  • The Athena Cup, featuring a series of challenges by Rocket League personality and fan favorite Athena
  • OpTic Texas Minecraft Challenge – Call of Duty League players and coaches Dashy, General, Hecz, Prolute, Rambo Ray, Scump, Sender, and Shotzzy
  • The Wizzy Hours (10 p.m.-12 a.m.) featuring Super Smash Bros start Wizzrobe
  • The TST Nightcap featuring Hitch, Blake, and Jorge of popular streaming trip Team Summertime
  • Surprise appearances and streams by creators including Hastro, Helen “Dear” Jang, and more

The June 17 is stream-a-thon with OpTic is one way the Child Life team at Children’s Health uses gaming to engage patients, their families, and siblings.
