Welcome to the enchanted realm of Kainga, a country of wonder and beauty filled with odd, otherworldly creatures. Use a Thinker to guide you as you expand your town into a vibrant society while overcoming all obstacles.
Kainga: Seeds of Civilization is a distinctive village-building game with roguelite influences. Beware, since many dangers lurk among its breathtaking vistas. The weather could sweep you away, there are rival tribes for resources, and enormous beasts could emerge and destroy everything you’ve created. The universe starts to unravel as you start taking wins and accumulating karma, revealing new, unusual lands, technologies, challenges, and Thinkers for you to uncover, discover, and learn about.
Can you master the beautiful but dangerous lands of Kainga?
- Construct, Resist, and Adapt
- As the Thinker, you must use your understanding of Kainga to guide your tribe, establish a thriving village via trial and error, and employ your leadership skills. At all costs, safeguard your Thinker, but also make sure to use them to further your technical and run your tribe.
- Observe Mysterious and Dangerous Animals
- The diverse biomes of Kainga are home to colossal species, many of which are submerged in the ocean or deep underground. Learn to coexist with them, domesticate them so they can help your economy, or utilise their strength to fight off your competitors.
- Discover a Beautiful yet Dangerous Land
- Explore the beauty and hazards that each of the 8 distinct biomes has to offer. Over arid deserts, tropical isles, snowy mountains, and lush jungles guide your people in adapting to their environment and surviving.
- Gather the Broken Pieces and Try Again
- The end is not death. Learn from your mistakes and start over in a fresh environment. To get access to new biomes, technologies, and Thinkers, complete tasks. Use your newly acquired knowledge to create cultures that are greater and better.

You won’t even be able to complete the first, little tutorial level since the game is so incredibly broken. I made four attempts to finish the tutorial, which is necessary to open up more game progress.
When the resource (inspiration) required to unlock new building types did not spawn, I was soft-locked twice.
Once, the tutorial assistant would not go to the further step in the tutorial after recognising that I had finished certain activities. The guide instructed me to plant a banner to claim the clay and the inspiration I had already used after I had taken some clay and inspiration from the beach. And finally, when there weren’t enough materials to construct the necessary number of huts to advance.
Unfortunately, even the most basic, cursory testing does not appear to have been done, as the game would otherwise be a visual and audio feast.
Avoid purchasing this game in its current state.
