| Stargazer today revealed the beginning of a busy summer schedule for the online PvP RPG 9Lives Arena, currently in open Alpha. With a focus on one-on-one player combat, 9Lives Arena features permadeath, persistent progression, resource gathering, item crafting and the world’s first online/offline companion, Ooogy, who works for you 24/7, even when you’re not playing. Death is just the beginning in 9Lives Arena. The complex permadeath loop casts players’ spirits into the hunting grounds with a chance to be reborn as an immortal, something every player covets… but it can only happen with the death of your mortal character. Total freedom of character build creation allows players to find their own successful combat playstyles, and the deep crafting and customization system for weapons and armor allows players to create unique gear to suit their playstyle and look.  |
| The Epic Store version of 9Lives Arena will allow players a completely optional mode for crafting blockchain-based armor and weapon skins to trade with other players. Any players who do not wish to participate can ignore this feature without any effects to everyday gameplay. These skins are entirely cosmetic, with no competitive advantages in gameplay, but allows players the freedom to fashion a distinct look and identity in the game… until they decide to sell it and create something new. Fishing plays an integral part of the game, helping players to unwind, feed their Ooogy and obtain surprises, such as treasure maps to rare loot for Ooogy to track down. A grand competitive fishing tournament featuring $50,000 USD in NFTs will begin on May 23rd. |
| 9Lives Arena was created by singer-songwriter Cindy Gomez who is known in the gaming community as the singer of the iconic game theme “Time Only Knows” from Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, along with game industry veteran Ralph Laemmche. The Kickstarter campaign was fully funded in under 20 hours. 9Lives Arena is expected to launch the Beta version on the Epic Store in late 2023.
