Renato Casaro creates the cover for Slaps and Beans 2!

The Italian artist Renato Casaro, famous for creating some of the most iconic film posters of the 70s and 80s, has designed the cover for the upcoming title by Trinity Team and Buddy Productions, Slaps and Beans 2. The game, which celebrates the adventures of beloved Italian actors Bud Spencer and Terence Hill in a pixel art aesthetic reminiscent of arcade games of the era, is the follow-up to the popular original title created entirely by the Bologna-based development studio.
At the age of 87, the renowned illustrator is still active today – his recent works include collaboration with Quentin Tarantino for “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” – and enthusiastically accepted the proposal to create a dedicated cover when some members of the team went to meet him to discuss the project and its requirements. With a career spanning over 50 years, Renato Casaro is known worldwide for his artistic talent and his mastery in creating stunning images. After working for many film studios, Casaro gained fame thanks to his posters for films such as “Rambo“, “Once Upon a Time in America“, and “Dances with Wolves“.
Slaps and Beans 2 is a side-scrolling beat’em up that allows players to control Bud Spencer or Terence Hill and fight funny enemies in various levels. In addition, the game also features a cooperative multiplayer mode where two players can join forces to face the challenges of the game together.

Slaps and Beans 2 will soon be available on various platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4/5, and Xbox One/series X|S. The official release date is scheduled for September 2023.
