PREVIEW : Dread Templar (PC)

Dread Templar is a retro style FPS that requires a 64-bit processor and operating system and works well on windows 10. It needs a  CPU 3+ GHz and a system with 4GB RAM and a graphic card (NVidia GTX 750 Ti). This game takes action to a whole new level. Dread Templar is developed by T19 Games and launched by 1C entertainment. The game is still in its early access phase.

The game has 25 levels originally but for now only 10 are fully developed and launched and ready for gameplay. The gameplay is dreadful as the name suggests and bloody as hell. There is almost no narrative or any plot. The game gets to the point as soon as you begin . The story is so limited and simple that it is almost non-existent . You do not have to connect with your character but just make sure that there is blood everywhere. You are the Templar in the bloody hell.

There should be no expectations of any cutscenes . You will be given a basic tutorial which is just a formality. You are hungry for blood and have entered the dangerous doors of hell for revenge.  Your character is too good at shooting and there is no backstory to it.

Dread Templar is a standard fast-paced first-person shooter that combines elements from both modern retro shooters and classics from the 90s. You will have to cross levels to get ahead.  All the possible incarnations of the devil are going to obliterate you . You kill your way as soon as you are in the game and collect keys , slash demons , find supplies and smirk smugly demons. Yes you are a madman who is running around looting and killing .The game is a classic action game full of chaos and fun gun mechanics. The game takes you on a huge gameplay experience.

The game is full of peculiar looking chambers and moss covered granite establishments that look good on this horrifying nightmare. The setting of the game is eerie . There are elements in this game which are very specific and add to its appearance. A hefty fog blanket and unlively forest with menacing tombstones are all around this frightening dead world. The enemy designs are wide in this game. Some monsters shoot distantly while some come up close and attack. Some creatures crawl and some flies. You have to change your weapons according to your location and situation . The gun firing is really pleasurable as it shatters the body of the demon into pieces . The game is rewarding .

The visuals are extremely tedious and blurry . The design is good but the graphics are highly pixelated. There are modern touches in the game and the basics are well met.  Its game play is its forte. The blend of 90s retro style classic and modern shooters is appealing. You can explore the map which is wide and go through all the well designed levels.  The dystopian situation provides an action which is smooth and fast. On top of this, there are rocket launchers, infernal weapons, and bows at your disposal to shed enemy blood. There are a huge variety of weapons provided and you can access them after unlocking them.
