REVIEW : Fort Triumph (XBOX Series X)
Fort triumph is a turn-based strategy game in a dreamy world. You have your team consisting of Paladins, Mages, Ranger, and Savages with their style and duties. You’re supposed to get into the unexplored maps.
You can fight in different campaigns, including the humans, the undead, goblins, and forest utopians. You have to strategize your mates to battle against the enemies by covering and overwatching when they move or attack and loot. Your squad will have a home base, and you can upgrade the health of your mates fighting and assist and communicate with them. The enemies have the same motives as us but only against us. And let me tell you, they are pretty tricky to tackle.
The game starts with a detailed tale and tutorial, which is impressive as it shows a lot of tactics and procedures beforehand. There are things you can expect from the enemy team, and some aren’t. Your heroes are great at some things and are specialized in those things; you’ve to place them there and make the best use of them.
The game is rewarding but has a lot of learning aspects. You need to know many things, which will happen over time if you’re a newcomer. You’ve to complete the mission and explore the terrain. The permadeath is inbuilt and not an option once you have chosen it before the game starts. It’s a lot of fun to play this; it keeps you indulged as the map is comprehensive, and the ones who want to invest their time in it have a lot to do. You have to make sure you have your whole team alive and by your side as you move further. You can fast forward the game upto three times if you don’t feel like watching the same graphics over and over.
There is an auto-win option, and you can use it once you have cleared a lot of levels that vanishes the easy enemies without an actual war. Your teammates can upgrade and gain new abilities to play better. You’re supposed to move the units you looted at the home base, which costs action points.
