REVIEW : Outer Terror (PC)

Outer Terror is a new retro arcade horror game that pays homage to pulp horror from movies to comics with bullet hell/horde gameplay and an anthology of horror settings and terrifying monsters to blast through. The game is a love letter to the horror and retro genre’s, with fantastic homages and inspiration.

REVIEW : Outer Terror (PC)

The game features 5 unique maps and settings that are each a love letter to horror comics, movies, and games such as 30 Days of Night, Terminator, and The Evil Dead. Each map has its own unique set of enemies that will keep you on your toes as you fight through hordes of monsters.

REVIEW : Outer Terror (PC)

The gameplay is a horde survival game where you have to kill endless hordes of disturbing creatures that hunt you down. Fortunately, you have a huge arsenal of weapons to decimate any threats. You can also bring a friend to the apocalypse for great co-op fun.

The graphics and audio are an arcade extravaganza that will keep you engaged throughout the game. The pixel art style is reminiscent of classic arcade games like Space Invaders and Pac-Man while still maintaining its own unique style.

The story is told through side missions that add much-needed depth to the game. Each mission has its own unique story that will keep you engaged throughout the game.

The game’s difficulty level is well-balanced, making it accessible for both casual players and hardcore gamers alike.

REVIEW : Outer Terror (PC)

Overall, Outer Terror is a delightful anthology with great aspects to review. Whilst there are many things to love about this game, especially if the genre appeals, there are some problems. The gameplay and maps can feel a bit bland at times, and whilst the story and side missions add much-needed depth, it doesn’t quite put enough flesh on the bones to make this a masterpiece.
