REVIEW : Terminator: Resistance Annihilation Line (PS5)
There have been multiple games made from the super hit Terminator movie theme . but Terminator: Resistance – Annihilation Line is one of the best video game adaptations of the popular film franchise. Teyon is the developer and Reef entertainment is the launcher of this FPS game.
This developer has paid special attention to the Terminator action and provides a tense environment to this game . It was improved for PS5 in 2021, with enhanced performance and visuals which comes with additional Infiltrator mode. However , with the limited budget and chaotic gameplay , it can feel like a disappointment even with the upgrade. TERMINATOR : RESISTANCE ANNIHILATION LINE offers a new , very original in the terminator world.
The game is a concentrated dose of FPS action. It begins with Jacob Rivers who receives orders from Connor and is told to investigate Northridge Outpost . Now he is not alone but has a partner , Kyle Reese. Including Reese as a main character is a good strategy to lure in Terminator fans. He also has a handful of Resistance fighters who are accompanying them in this mission. Annihilation Line doesn’t take place before or after Terminator Resistance’s main campaign, instead acts as a sandwich between the two. Brownie points to you in case you have played Terminator : Resistance before as it really helps you with the plot and climax of this game . It is not the most important thing but it is still suggested .
Terminator : resistance – Annihilation Line is the precise introduction that was just needed by the fans of the base game . You will go through a lot of levels with side quests in your way. There are plenty of linear action set-piece and dialogue delivery to make it all interactive and fun. The main elements of the base game very much remain the same in this one, though Annihilation Line takes you up to speed much before with a huge amount of weapons, arms , skill points and resources at the beginning.
The main features of the original game are brought down as well. There has been an improvement in the main gameplay in PS5. It has become more difficult than before and it checks your patience . There are fewer RPG-lite elements within the narrative, with the player’s choices limited to dialogue with NPCs. If you loved the campaign story , you will most certainly enjoy this game. My favourite part of the game was the element wherein you have to run away from a massive Skynet ambush. This game is a lot more combat oriented than the previous one . There are extra shooting actions in this. There is heavy attention paid to Kyle Reese and offers lots of easter eggs for fans . The action and war setup is futuristic . However , the shooting still is not accurate and smooth . The visuals and animations are wonderful but not different from the main campaign. This game is short and can be completed in one go .
