REVIEW : Trash Sailors (PC)

Trash Sailors was developed by Flucky Machine and published by TinyBuild. It is a fun little game to enjoy with your mates. You can play with three other players online in a co-op game wherein you will be on a raft made of not some good durable material but trash and garbage hence the name. You will make your way through the dangerous water bodies filled with waste, debris, and natural calamities that will keep visiting you now and then. Ofcourse, you are in the water, which is why there will be a lot of water incidents and hazards that you will be facing along your way. The game focuses on assigning work to each team player and revolves around the concept of optimum utilisation of resources.

REVIEW : Trash Sailors (PC)

The game has lots of levels, leading to the longevity of this arcade-like game. There are enough challenges and complexities with limited resources and will tease our brains and tingle our bodies. The hurdles you will be facing frequently include Alligator eating portions of the raft, spiders climbing your raft that must be scared away with a spotlight, strong, powerful waves that carry players away, and many unexpected problems. You will face plenty of obstacles throughout the game, and it will not let you be in pace. You will have to navigate your way even in darkness when nothing is visible, but there will be lights, and you will have to recharge them during the daytime.

REVIEW : Trash Sailors (PC)

You will have to divide and delegate tasks to keep the raft running. These tasks include shooting your nemesis with a cannon, finding the best you can do with the trash by segregating it from the waterways and driving the raft away from things it can bash in. You will have to assign the roles wisely and keep doing them for systematic and smooth progress. You can play the game solo, but it is much more intriguing and fun when you play it in co-op mode, as you will have to ensure a lot of things for smooth functioning.

If you want to go a little easy, you can get the upgrades that will help you, but it is not advised because you are better off without it. The game can look a bit hotchpotch, but this is also balanced. Hence it is a well-developed game.

The characters are awkward looking and not charming at all, but what else can you expect from a game wherein you are the sailors of a raft made of trash. When the gamers aren’t responding to some emergency, which is certainly a small percentage of the time, they’re focused on retrieving and grinding this resource.

While these obstructions begin as simple stationary objects, they soon evolve into explosives that swerve terrifyingly towards the small boat.

REVIEW : Trash Sailors (PC)

Sailors are rough and not your everyday decent people. And hence there will be a lot of shouting, applauding, pulling down through each level. You will be scolded and listened to if you do not do a thing right, or you almost get attacked. In this game, you will feel many emotions, all at once. You will feel frustrated in such a highly chaotic game. The environmental calamities will also trouble you and hinder your pah by making things worse by sending waves and taking away your team members in the water. The levels drive players crazy and give the feeling of being on a never-ending roller coaster of high stress and recovery without ever becoming so overpowering that all hope appears to be lost.

Trash Sailors is a smooth functioning game on an offline platform and even on basic computers. Trash Sailors is held back from its full prospect by frustrating and persistent network issues in the online version. While playing, there were a few technical issues, such as adversaries not appearing for all players in online matches.

Towards the end, you might feel the urge for more levels as there are a lot of upgrades and hurdles throughout the game but not enough gameplay.

The visuals and details are incredible and completely go with the game’s theme. It’s easy to envision how far the idea could be pushed to provide players with more hard stages, new surroundings, different sailor kinds to build one’s playstyle around, or even alternate raft configurations to keep things interesting. This game is different from most in the market. Its succeeding levels are unlocked by collecting enough maps in the previous level, not by completing it.

REVIEW : Trash Sailors (PC)

The developing team consisted of two people, and the job they have done is commendable. If they make any changes or release another part with all the issues and increased levels, it might stand out and reach its full potential. The levels never feel like too much, and the element of teamwork takes it to the next level.
