REVIEW : Wild Terra 2: New Lands (PC)

Play your part in the vibrant mediaeval world that players are in control of. MMORPG is rich in intricacies that foster a special sense of immersion and the spirit of exploration!

A vast array of crafts. Observation of details

Become the best at anything you can—build, blacksmith, fish, heal, alchemize, bake, sail, tan, trade, farm, jewel, etc. But to obtain the Master’s Mark, one must be knowledgeable and persistent. You cannot instantly construct equipment in Wild Terra.

Pets

capture, domesticate, and expand rare animal species. Pets get random bonuses as they level up. To pull together the ideal mix, you’ll either need luck or a lot of effort.

Playing solo and raids

Create guilds, play alone, or join groups. Explore gloomy dungeons and hunt down massive bosses! PvP and PvE zones can be built, evolved, and visited. Alternatively, you can take the challenge and go to enigmatic continents with a range of biomes, populations, and environments, such as Plague Island.

Combat and levelling systems

Whatever you employ, its level of competence rises. The game features a wide array of melee and ranged weapons, each with its own active and passive abilities, as well as numerous non-combat and combat skills. In Wild Terra, there are no predetermined classifications. Your position in a battle is determined by the weapons you are holding. The non-target fighting approach also makes your skill just as crucial as your gear.

only you can decide

You select whether to put your loot at risk or remain in secure areas. Additionally, you can select the difficulty in any dungeon from Easy to Nightmare. The choice is yours, but the benefits outweigh the danger.

Thoughts

Before you play, you must be aware of the type of game it is. This game moves slowly. A GRIND is being used to level skills. Building something will make you joyful because you earned it. To prepare a new recipe, I had to grind both for the cooking experience and the agriculture required to manufacture it. There is PvE combat and probable PvP, yes (i think the server is a little young for a lot of PvP yet). And while it’s worthwhile to improve your combat abilities to gain some resources, I’ve discovered that doing so actually encourages you to team up for the hardest difficulties. It forces you to collaborate with your guildmates. I have played it 150 hours since launch, without participating in the betas, and I adore it.

Pros:

  • Certain gamers will enjoy the slow grind. Levelling up skills takes a long time. Animals/crops take a very long time to develop. It takes a while to create leather. Etc.
  • works well
  • owning land and developing it so that each plot can be distinct.
  • On the other hand, depending on the size of the property, if players stop playing, their town and all of its possessions are taken away for someone else to build on after 3–9 days. This makes sure that new players can access the lands without hurting the existing ones.
  • a sense of having earned what you have
  • There are “packs” you may purchase, but they are neither necessary nor pay-to-win. No small-scale transactions.
  • Inspiration system: While offline, you can collect up to 50k XP worth of “inspiration” that you can store. Therefore, it’s okay if you can’t log on and do much for a few days. When it is active, you receive triple XP until it runs out and refills over three days.

Cons:

  • For today’s games, graphics are effective but straightforward.
  • According to Steam charts, the population is low (I’m on NA East, where the population is good; I can’t speak for other servers).
  • Limiting Gameplay (what’s there takes a long time for newer players like myself to get through, and I haven’t even completed a fourth of it after 150 hours), but I can see how experienced beta players could view the quantity of content as limited).
REVIEW : Wild Terra 2: New Lands (PC)

There is a tonne of potential for the game to develop. I simply hope the content creation staff can produce new materials soon enough to maintain attention. I’ll probably still log on and take care of my crops and animals even if the material is limited and I ultimately grow bored in anticipation of more content.
