REVIEW : WWE 2K22 Deluxe Edition (PC)

Get yanked from the audience and smacked with total command over the WWE Universe. This hard hitting has never been this simple. Everything has been completely redone, from the controls to the graphics, and it now feels just like you’re in the ring at WrestleMania. The Rock, Sasha Banks, Ric Flair, Alexa Bliss, and other legends and superstars with the biggest and best-looking rosters hit the stage.

I’ll start with the series’ standard visual fault. Both visually and in their depiction of the actual motions we would witness in the ring, the models and the movements of the superstars are genuinely on another level. As a result, the matches are fast-paced, fairly remarkable, and quite exciting. In WWE, the entire show is presented as real, thus cementing its authenticity.  We have what are unquestionably the best games in the history of the series, together with a few outstanding entrances that are frequently pertinent to the topic at hand and the sportscasters offering commentary. The mood was so tremendous that even on instances when I just needed to win and go on, I found myself getting carried away.

The duality that appeals to both seasoned players and beginners is maintained by some mechanics that have tried to remove itself from the classic fighting games. We discover a whole new control scheme in WWE 2K22. They have looked for new formulae that enhance the evolution of combat in an effort to break free from their reliance on the contras.

The game is only somewhat playable due to the on-screen mayhem, camera aesthetics, and HUD functionality. Furthermore, the AI is never quite friendly enough, making it extremely challenging to win games with more than 2 players on each team. In order to defeat the opponent in the ring, you must fully remove all of your opponents, which is the only strategy that appears to be effective.

The truth is that it all appears to fit nicely in the combination of motions at the speed necessary to produce an encounter that is as close to the reality of a WWE bout as feasible during the growth of the locks and the punches.

These initiatives to advance battle movement management also highlight a clear market need; given how quickly esports are evolving, this may be a way to further boost market share. The Showcase, which continues just as it has in the past, is of tremendous interest to WWE fans. This time, we revisit Rey Mysterio’s incredible career, which spanned both the ring and television sets. The movement from the visuals engine to the real bout video and back again steals this episode’s show more than the script, which is read by Mysterio himself. A recipe that brings back a lot of memories for us older people.

Additionally, even while the upgrade makes it more pleasant for new players, its professional potential is still a long way off from being a reality.

The sense of powerlessness you felt when your opponent began stringing together grapples and strikes has been diminished, but the game’s continued reliance on animations indicates that it still has to evolve before it can be considered competitive.

The suggestion to play fortune telling is one of the system’s recent features. We will have to estimate which button our adversary has pushed when we are confronted with grab and punch combos in order to obtain the counter if we are correct.

We are encouraged to assume the position of a WWE manager in one of club’s numerous divisions in what is arguably the most innovative option. With this particular choice, we won’t go into great detail, but it’s a great chance to see how a match is set up behind the scenes and understand that the main priority is putting on a nice show. Once everything is ready, we can either watch the race from our chairs or take control of the competitors’ handling to guarantee the outcome. The new WWE 2K22 gametype is among the game’s most amusing features. Whether you’re Stephanie McMahon or William Regal, once you’ve decided which franchise you’ll lead to success, you’ll need to produce each programme and manage your stars in order to gain revenue and fans.
