Indie publisher Gamera Games revealed today that they will be at Gamescom 2023 with The Awakener: Forgotten Oath, a third-person roguelike action adventure game set in the mystical world of Sylvalond. The Awakener will be available for media and general public to preview at Gamescom 2023 at Gamera Games booth, located at Hall 10: 102E016 D017. ABOUT THE GAME
The game lets you take on the role of the Awakener who has been summoned by the twelve gods of Therad to deal with the threat of the revival of the Demon Lord and the hordes of Chaos. Take advantage of a wide array of weaponry and spells, recruit companions, utilise god-powered relics and artefacts from heroes past, and experience battles from a third-person perspective as you explore the world of Sylvalond, packed with magical mysteries and formidable foes.
The game features a highly flexible combat system and a “re-incarnation” mechanic, where death is just a new beginning and not the end- you lose your loot but you gain new experiences which makes you stronger with each rebirth. Prepare to enter the nothingness as you join the Awakeners’ crusade.
