Independent publisher of video game books and magazines, 2 Old 4 Gaming, will be launching a Kickstarter campaign to fund the release of issue 3 of RPM – The Unofficial Retro PlayStation Magazine on April 2. RPM is centered on celebrating the legacy of Sony’s consoles, particularly focusing on discontinued PlayStation systems such as PS1, PS2, PS3, PSP, and PSVita. Issue 3 features a spotlight on the Resident Evil series’ on PS1 and a longform interview with the designer of the PS1 classic title, MediEvil. The magazine also features reviews of games from the PS+ Classics Catalogue and retrospectives of games iconic to PlayStation’s systems. There will be no advertisements, and the magazine will be A5 size, consisting of 72 pages of retro PlayStation content, making it the largest issue to date.

Issue 3 is already completed, and work on issue 4 has begun. Once the Kickstarter campaign is completed and funds are processed, physical copies will be printed and distributed to backers, with estimated postage beginning before the end of April 2024.  Additionally, DRM-free digital copies of previous publications are available as optional add-ons, with physical versions also offered.
