Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters – Execution Force, the second DLC for Complex Games’ acclaimed turn-based tactical RPG, is now available on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store at a suggested retail price of £12.99/$14.99/€14.99.

Execution Force introduces four unique Assassin classes, each with their own approach to dispatching the forces of Nurgle. Additionally, players will weather the storm of all new Tentarus Hive missions, whilst boarding action missions offer the chance to dispatch pursuing Death Guard cruisers and establish control of the star map. This paid content is supported by a free update for all players which will introduce new Warp Surge events and three new enemies to the base game: the Plague Surgeon, the Nurgling Swarm and the enormous Beast of Nurgle, as well as new wargear options to arm their squad to deliver swift retribution.

The Officio Assassinorum will grant Strike Force Xiphos access to a highly skilled assassin from each of the four major temples. The Vindicare Assassin is a sniper who turns long-range combat into an art form, while the Eversor Assassin unleashes shock and terror across multiple targets at short range. The Culexus Assassin is a soulless anti-psyker who is able to disable Nurgle’s psychic energies and create opportunities for the Grey Knights to take the upper hand. The Callidus Assassin, meanwhile, is a master of deception and infiltration – able to meld into enemy lines before they’re even detected. Once requisitioned, each Assassin will become available in the barracks of the Baleful Edict and can be deployed in any mission across the game, significantly expanding players’ tactical possibilities on the battlefield.

The Assassins offer Force Commanders new strategic avenues to eliminate their foes as they take on the new Tentarus Hive missions. Once these mission variants appear in the Tyrtaeus Sector, the level of corruption on a host world will rise rapidly unless they’re dealt with. The central Tentarus Hive must be eradicated by removing Hive Germs strewn across the battlefield, but strike forces should expect to weather an intense area of effect bombardment in order to achieve victory. Players can also turn the tables on the pursuing Death Guard on the Star Map, as the Grey Knights embark on dangerous and intense boarding missions against enemy cruisers, racing against time to destroy critical generators and escape to safety.

With new units, maps and mission types, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters – Execution Force gives players command of ruthless instruments of battle and takes a surgical strike at the heart of Nurgle’s forces.

Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters – Execution Force will require the base game to play, and new content will become accessible following the first Grand Master’s report in the campaign.
