This weekend, Games Done Quick will kick off their annual summer charity speedrunning marathon, Summer Games Done Quick, in Minneapolis for a week of exciting speedrunning showcases and shenanigans. The event will be hosted at the Hilton Minneapolis and benefit Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières. Fans can also tune into the event on Games Done Quick’s Twitch channel live 24/7 from Sunday, May 28th through Sunday, June 4th. The full SGDQ 2023 schedule can be found here.

This year’s Summer Games Done Quick features an amazing lineup of exciting runs, including a blindfolded Breath of The Wild run by Bubzia, the entire Elder Scrolls Anthology by Chronos_R, an 8-person Super Mario Maker 2 relay race, and an any% glitchless run of Elden Ring by Mitchriz – the game that saw SGDQ 2022 hit the 3 million dollar mark.

SGDQ 2023 will be held in support of Doctors Without Borders / Médecins Sans Frontières who provide medical assistance to people affected by conflict, disease outbreaks, and disasters all over the world. Viewers will be able to donate directly to the charity via the viewing page on GamesDoneQuick.com. One hundred percent of all contributions made through the GDQ donation link during the event go directly to Doctors Without Borders.

To date, Games Done Quick has raised over $43 million for charity across events. Last year, the organization raised over $3 million during SGDQ 2022 and made headlines earlier in the year for raising $3.4 million during Awesome Games Done Quick 2022, breaking their record for the most money raised in a single event.
