Super Toy Cars 2 to release soon on Steam Early Access!
It’s been quite a long time (5 years) since we released Super Toy Cars on Steam. There were many things we wanted to improve on the original game but couldn’t do it at the time. We’ve finally had a chance to do that in the sequel!
We’ve solidly improved the handling model of the original, we’ve sensibly upgraded the graphics, as you can see in the screenshots, we’ve added a new destruction model that’s a central part of the gameplay, which is heavily featured in the trailer, and we’ve improved and changed many other parts of the game while trying to keep the essence the same.
Super Toy Cars 2 is about emulating how a kid could perceive the races they ‘do’ when they play with their toy cars. It captures the mayhem, the chaos, the fun, the excitement that little kids experience in their imaginations. This game will have you reliving those experiences you had as a kid when playing with toy cars.
Release on Steam Early Access
Super Toy Cars 2 is going to be released first on Steam Early Access on September the 19th/26th, 2019. The game is definitely playable but it’s missing some important features (like a career mode). On the other hand, the game has a lot of tracks and cars already available (and more will be made available over the next weeks) and an online mode fully functional.
We also have a solid plan for the first 2 months of Steam Early Access with releases every 2 weeks aiming to have a fully working game by the end of November. From there on we’d be doing bugfixing and adding possibly adding more stuff suggested by the community if we find it fits within the game scope. We’re going to be actively listening to the forums (just like we did with Super Toy Cars) because we believe the best way to create a great game is to listen to your players and act on their feedback.
