Aspiring developers from across the globe have submitted their gaming creations for the Lv.99 Game Jam based on this year’s theme, ‘Take a Deep Breath’. Voting is now open worldwide, and will come to a close on 27th May.
From competing family members to ambitious ten year olds, entrants have emerged from all walks of life to bring their skills and dreams to the public. Over 2,800 participants signed up to take part and, with hundreds of games to choose from, voters are sure to have a great time and find a story that truly resonates. The genres of the games are widely varied, including sports, horror, cosy, and strategy, among others.
The voting phase utilises a queue system, whereby players will be randomly assigned a selection of games to try. This ensures that all entries get a fair chance, and exposes voters to fantastic games that they may have otherwise missed.
Five voters will be chosen to win the latest PICO 4 All-in-One VR Headsets, so don’t miss your chance to discover the next big game, and have your say on who will be chosen as a finalist and flown to Singapore.
The Game Jam’s US$100,000 prize pool will be broken down as follows:
- 1st Place – $50,000
- 2nd Place – $20,000
- 3rd Place – $20,000
Plus $2,000 each for the winners of five special categories, including innovation, narrative, and artistic achievement.
