Who Took $74K Pies to the Face?
We are so grateful for the support from our glorious community, as we all came together for another year to fundraise for an amazing cause. Over the years, the Intrepid Studios Ashes of Creation team has raised over $300,000 for Rady’s Children’s Hospital here in San Diego through Extra Life! This money goes towards Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals where children receive medical care regardless of their family’s ability to pay.
Here at Intrepid Studios, we believe in bringing gamers together to help them get involved with great causes. This is why we’ve continued to participate in Extra Life Game Day, hosting a charity marathon livestream, for the past seven years! We’ve had the pleasure of touring Rady Children’s Hospital, and hearing all about how our community’s efforts benefit them on a daily basis. We know that gaming can be used for a force of good, and that our community is at the forefront of that movement.
During the 24-hour marathon livestream there were so many amazing moments, such as our Creative Director taking 7 pies to the face, a massive tabletop campaign set in the world of Ashes of Creation, a community building competition with Intrepid Studios staff and Ashes of Creation content creators, dinosaur lightsaber battles, hilarious sing-a-longs, a DUNK TANK that made quite a splash, and giveaways for Alpha access and the Keeper of the Kelp!
