Yacht Club Games Presents Reveals a New Game – Mina the Hollower and Kickstarter Campaign
Independent Game Developer, Yacht Club Games, pulled back the development curtain today to make a groundbreaking announcement during their Yacht Club Games Presents. The Yacht Club Games team introduced their megaton announcement, Mina the Hollower – a brand new game developed by the studio, as well as the launch of its Kickstarter campaign. The Presents was broadcasted during G4’s tentpole video game program, Xplay, on Tuesday, February 1st at 3 pm PT on Twitch.tv/G4TV.
Brand New Game: Mina the Hollower & Kickstarter Campaign
Mina the Hollower is a bone-chilling, action-adventure featuring classic gameplay with an 8-bit aesthetic in the style of the Game Boy Color but refined for the modern era.
Mina the Hollower is currently in the thick of production, and ideas are still taking form. “We want your feedback, collaboration, and support in making Mina the Hollower the best game it can possibly be. That’s why we’re returning to our roots and kicking off Mina the Hollower’s development as a KickStarter campaign. Though we’re financing a majority of this project ourselves, we hope we can create a more expansive game this way. More importantly, we want to build a community around Kickstarter, much as we did with Shovel Knight. We also want to share our development process, more than ever before!” said Alec Faulkner, Director of Mina the Hollower.
Yacht Club Games has also partnered with the video game merchandise virtuosos at Fangamer to create exclusive backer rewards, including a physical soundtrack, enamel pins, an art book, and an adorable plush.
