iam8bit is pleased to announce a collaboration with Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery developer Silver Lining Studio and publisher Akupara Games. iam8bit is releasing a suitably beautiful vinyl soundtrack and physical editions of the award-winning painting adventure, featuring all-new art and extras inspired by Behind the Frame‘s captivating world. The album, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch physical editions are available for pre-order on iam8bit.com.
Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery tells an emotionally resonant tale of a struggling artist who’s on the verge of a creative breakthrough. She learns more about the world around her – including the grumpy neighbor across the street and his mischievous cat – all from the confines of her cozy studio apartment. In addition to interacting with canvases in soothing painting exercises, players solve puzzles to advance its charming narrative.
The vinyl soundtrack features spectacular cover and inner-sleeve illustrations from Silver Lining Studio’s art team. Tucked inside, you’ll find the complete 12-track soundtrack pressed on a sunset-inspired pastel pink and yellow vinyl colorway. It’s priced at $31.99 and is expected to ship Q1 2023.
The physical editions include the complete Behind the Frame: The Finest Scenery experience, including its recently released narrative expansion. Both the PlayStation 4 ($29.99) and Nintendo Switch ($34.99) editions feature reversible cover art. They’ll be available at retail in Q4 2022 along with exclusive iam8bit variants for the same price. The iam8bit editions are only available via iam8bit.com, and they pack in several postcards inspired by the game.
