O.T.K Games, the developer of the well acclaimed Metroidvania – The Vagrant (5302 reviews, 91% positive), is now preparing a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter to raise fund for their brand-new title – Detained: Too Good for School. This campaign is set to go live in the near future and now you can sign up for notifications on their pre-launch page.
Inspired by Kenka Banchou, Bully, Yakuza, and River City Ransom, Detained: Too Good for School is a 2D action RPG with loads of simulation elements. The story takes place in a virtual metropolis, Swinster City, where you play as a high school girl who has suffered from injustice and was wrongly imprisoned for an entire year. After your sentence ends, you swear to find whoever is behind this conspiracy and all the chaos.
Explore the open world, pick a fight with street mobs, work part-time in a club, enjoy a hot date, and then spend all the money in a jiffy. Players will be able to experience the vivid and bizarre school life in the game and their choices will eventually shape the future of the Swinster City.
