Get Hot and Bothered in Gothic Creature Collector ‘My Lovely Wife,’ Available Now on iOS Devices
At The Indie Horror Showcase, Southeast Asian publisher Neon Doctrine and developer GameChanger Studio announced that the gothic demonic creature collector My Lovely Wife is now available on the iOS App Store.
My Lovely Wife is a dating, management, and alchemy simulator that delves into the depths of a man’s grief after the sudden death of his beloved wife, Luna. Granted the knowledge to summon demonic entities to do his bidding and the option to sacrifice them to create a vessel for his wife’s soul, mourning protagonist Jake sets out on a quest to do anything for love (or maybe learn the importance of letting go instead).
With summoning knowledge in hand, players must utilize Jake’s demonic guests to help manage his business. Each demon has its own stats, which affect its ability to earn gold and demonic essence; experience gained at the town’s various establishments improves its stats and further increases its production output. As players develop Jake’s management skills of his scary assistants, new resources become available that, when combined, allow for the summoning of new demons.
In this gothic tale of love and murder, Jake can court either female (succubi) or male-identifying (incubi) demons so that they fall in love with him. He then must confront a sadistic choice: move on from Luna’s death by forging a new bond or betray and sacrifice his new love interest(s) to acquire the essence needed to resurrect her.
